Our history

The Hotel Plaza Taltal was born in 1898, at the height of the saltpeter boom on the coast of the Antofagasta Region. Its historic blue façade facing the Pacific is today a symbol of Taltal's architectural heritage.

For decades, the hotel was a meeting point for merchants, travelers and families drawn by the port's activity. Its walls hold the memory of a golden era.

More than a century later, we still welcome travelers from around the world with the same hospitality as always, combining the building's tradition with modern comforts.
